Do you also sometimes want to strangle someone

😬😬😬

when it comes to IT platforms???

When implementing sustainability related projects in the supply chain, one will face at least these two challenges:

1️⃣ How to measure the impact

2️⃣ What IT platform to use

You might think the first one is the hardest,

but my experience, after multiple implementations of different IT systems (social compliance, environment data collection, mapping of suppliers and materials, you name it, I have done it),

has giving me a thing or two to say about number 2️⃣.

It will never be a walk a park, but here are some learnings that I take with me:

🥝 Sticking to the core of what I want to achieve is enough. Trying to solve every aspect of a program with one system at once, usually leads to failure.

⏰ Replacing IT systems when under time pressure is not a good idea.

🙅‍♀️ IT providers that promise the perfect solutions are usually better at talking than delivering a real solution. It is never that simple.

Do you agree?

Follow me for more learnings on number 1️⃣ as well 😉
