I remember thinking that traceability was all about certified raw materials.
That traceability equalled the chain of custody for fibres such as organic cotton and recycled polyester.
But in fact, there is much more to it than that. Today, traceability means visibility to me.
Visibility into a supply chain which is like a black hole.
Traceability is the light that is shed on that black hole, unveiling the different parts and actors of that chain.
I have learned a lot since I first started working with traceability back in 2018.
Now I have put all my thoughts and learnings into a Masterclass to help individuals responsible for traceability, getting started.
