I remember practicing for my driving license test and there was this thing my teacher said to me which changed the whole experience of driving a car for me.
He said: Anna, don’t stare at the car in front of you, look ahead.
I often think back at that moment and realise that I use that phrase for myself, not only when driving, but at so many occasions.
When things are moving at speed, it is important to look ahead to know what the next smart move is.
The same thing applies when we work with sustainability in an ever-changing organisation.
We need to look up and see the moving pieces before we know what the smartest next step is.
